Edit Zosel Abbott, Susie Franklin DeFazio Endowed Scholarship

Richard Abbott, TC ‘82, MS ‘84, ‘87 is a graduate alumnus of the Graduate School of Education (GSOE) and is a retired educator of the Ventura Unified School District. The scholarship was established in loving memory of his wife, Edit (1929-2000) and dear girlfriend Suzie (1953-2013). The scholarship is to supports undergraduate students majoring in liberal studies with a preference for upper class students who want to go into teaching at the elementary level, which is the most critical time in a child’s life.
