The Bower Scholarship

“I’m a former Marine Corps officer and the purpose of establishing The Bower Scholarship is to assist students whose parents have honorably served in the Marine Corps, Navy, Army, or Air Force. First preference for the scholarship shall be for students of Marine Corps parents. I firmly believe that higher education is essential for a lifetime of fulfillment and happiness. The success I experienced spiritually, professionally, and personally have their roots while I was a student at California Lutheran University. Therefore, The Bower Scholarship is established to financially support the recipients while they continue their studies at CLU.” James V. Bower, Jr. ’76
